New rule for entering Thailand - Arrival Card
Basic information
From 1 May 2025, all foreigners must complete the TDAC online digital arrival card before entering Thailand.
This card is to be filled out up to 72 hours before arrival on the official website.
Valid for all modes of entry (air, land, sea), with exceptions for transit passengers and Border Pass holders.
The process involves filling in personal details, travel details and a health declaration.
New rule for entering Thailand
From 1 May 2025, a new rule applies that all foreigners entering Thailand must complete an online Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before arrival. This card replaces the old paper TM6 form and is designed to speed up and simplify the immigration process.
What passengers must do
Passengers must complete the card within 72 hours prior to arrival on the official website tdac.immigration.go.th. The process includes:
Filling in personal data (name, surname, date of birth, nationality, passport number, visa number if applicable).
Details of the trip (date of arrival, means of transport, purpose of stay, address in Thailand).
Health declaration, including a list of countries visited 14 days before arrival.
Checking all the information, entering your email to send the card as a PDF and downloading a digital version to have on entry.
Exceptions
Exceptions are transit passengers who do not pass through immigration control and those entering with a Border Pass for certain border crossings.

Who must fill in the card
The obligation to complete a TDAC applies to all foreigners, including tourists, business travellers and long-term residents, entering Thailand, whether they have a visa or not. Exceptions are limited to:

Travellers with Border Passes for specific border crossings.
